CV - Dr Smita Pandey Bhat

I am Dr Smita Pandey Bhat (M.Phil, PhD) a Clinical Psychologist; currently self employed (June 2010-till present) as a Consultant Practitioner and Researcher.

My experience as A Psychotherapist and Neuropsychologist:

Currently, I am involved in Behavioural Management and applying it in several aspects including assessments and therapies. Also, I am involved in neuro-psychological assessments and Cognitive rehabilitation of chronic mentally ill patient. My thesis on neurocognition has been highly appreciated. Also, I have worked on different projects on neurocognitive assessment and neuro-cognitive brain enhancement strategies mentioned below.

My experience as a Project Manager and Researcher for Neuropsychological Clinical Trials:

My latest employment was with TCG (Jan 2007 - June 2010) as the Project Manager and Psychologist for Neuro-psychological Clinical Trials. I was also involved in Medical Writing, scientific report writing. I was actively involved in Market Research, Market analyses and Business Development and attended client meetings and gave presentations to them (involved in creating RFP’s etc.). I am known for my contribution in science and research.

I have also worked as a research associate at King George Medical College (Dec 2003-July 2004), where I was involved in case reporting, rating and assessments etc. for the clinical trials.

My experience as a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology:

I was employed as Lecturer in Chetna Institute (Aug 2005-June 2006) where I was involved in teaching and practice of behavioural management principles, general psychology and teaching in child mental health.


My experience as a School Counselor and Lecturer (PGT Psychology):

In Army Public School (Aug 2005-Aug 2006) I mainly worked as a school counsellor, where I have been working as a counsellor for the students to select careers and helping them dealing with their emotions properly. Also, I dealt with conduct disorder problems, learning disability and attention deficit hyperactivity problems- typical in childhood. As PGT Psychology, I dealt with several challenges of teaching for class 11th and 12th students and adopted new methods for improving the retention and memory for the learned materials.

My major skills:

I am an effective leader with good interpersonal skills and rapport establishing. I am good in communication of both Hindi and English –written and spoken. I am a compassionate listener with keen observing skills; excellent problem solver and good in conflict resolutions. I have been involved in teaching/training/lectureship and have got good presentation skills. I am good in market research and analyses with a fine flair for business development activities. I am an excellent writer for science, non-science and fiction.
